Dragoncon: Skeptic Parents’ Night Out

This an open invitation to all skeptics attending Dragoncon!

Rational Moms and Skeptic Dads will be hosting a Skeptic Parents’ Night Out at O’Terrill’s Pub on Friday, September 4th from 11:30pm – 3:00am.

This is a night for us to chill out sans kids, have a few pints, talk about skepticism, and meet new people. ALL SKEPTICS ARE INVITED! We promise to keep the talk about diapers to a minimum.

O’Terrill’s may be familiar to Atlanta’s skeptics because it’s where everyone met the night before Dragoncon last year. My thanks to Tim Farley for the recommendation. He generally describes it as being close enough to the convention to be convenient (less than a mile), but not so close that it would be overcrowded with World of Warcraft fanatics and the like. He also pointed out that it might be wise to take a very quick cab ride (for safety’s sake) rather than walk.

If you’re planning on attending, please RSVP asap at the forum on the Skeptrack blog. We’d like to warn the pub about the relative size of our group. There are no current Dragoncon Skeptic Track conflicts with this meet-up. Don’t forget that the star party will be on Thursday and the Skepchick party (according to inside sources) will either be on Saturday or Sunday.

We look forward to meeting everyone at Dragoncon! See you in Atlanta!
